If you haven’t watched the Red Bull Florianopolis Skate Trip video yet, we can assure you it’s a blast. Or, in the words of Lola Tambling: it’s fire!
Red Bull got their amazing team of transition skaters together and went down to Floripa, Brazil, to shred Pedro Barros' insane backyard park, as well as Entulho DIY, Yndiara Asp’s backyard bowl and other local parks.
Filled with gnarly doubles, Phelps stories, longest grind competitions, padless vert skating and good vibes, this video will give you the feeling that you're right there, hanging out with some of the raddest rippers worldwide: like Sandro Dias, Alex Sorgente, Danny Leon, CJ Collins, Gavin Bottger, Hinano Kusaki, Ale Mazzara, Viktor Solmunde, and, of course, Pedro Barros, Yndiara Asp and Lola Tambling. Despite the video's laid back and fun vibe, this crew goes out of their way to blow us away with their insane skating.
We got to have a little chat with Lola about the trip, from her highlights to her battles and what the relationship with her fellow team mates at Red Bull is like. So go on and grab a cup of coffee, 'cause you're about to read this interview, watch the Red Bull Florianopolis Skate Trip video and get stoked to go out and do some big airs yourself.

“Being on a team with some of the wildest skaters in the world feels very surreal.”

What’s good Lola? How was the Red Bull Transition Trip in Brazil, can you give us a little recap?
Hey Dolores! I’ve been really good recently! The Red Bull trip was such a great experience, I had a really good time. I hung out with Hinano and Yndi a lot, those two are such rad and inspirational skaters. Had a good laugh with the crew, everyone was really fun to hang out with. Harry the TM made sure we all had a sick time, he’s such a dude, very grateful to have been able to go. The video is going to be fire! We visited so many sick spots and everyone was killing it. Florianópolis is such a peaceful place, I would 100% want to go back out there to skate again, I loved it.
What were the highlights of the trip for you?
A highlight for me would be that I got to skate both of Pedro’s bowls with some of the best skaters including Pedro himself.
“They [Red Bull] push for your dreams to become reality and make pretty much anything possible.”

And what’s your favourite thing about riding for Red Bull? The team stacked with some of the wildest skaters in the world, the trips…?
One of my favourite things about riding for Red Bull is that they have your back and support you to the fullest. They push for your dreams to become reality and make pretty much anything possible. Being on a team with some of the wildest skaters in the world feels very surreal, I’ve looked up to some of these skaters since I started skating at the age of 8 and to be on a team with them now is so mental!
“Hinano is a very bubbly and happy person to be around.”

Hinano Kusaki, Frontside Crailslide.
Yeah, the whole Red Bull team is sick and impressive as hell to watch skate. I can’t ask you who rips the hardest, but if you could pick one person, who is someone from the team that you look up to and why?
Someone from the team who I look up to is very hard to say and to only choose one, damn, that’s not an easy question. But if I had to say it would probably be CJ Collins, I’ve been watching him from such a young age and looked up to him for a very long time. I love his skating and style. I’ve watched his video parts on repeat, he’s incredible at what he does. He’s also a very nice, humble and chill person.
What was it like skating with the other girls there, Hinano and Yndi?
It was so nice to get to skate with the other girls on the trip. They both work so hard and skate so well and they’re really fun to hang out with. Hinano is from Japan and I don’t speak Japanese so we managed to chat a lot through Google Translate and she was working on her English. I definitely need to learn some Japanese, such a beautiful language! It was nice to get to know her more and skate with her, her personality is super sweet and she’s a very bubbly and happy person to be around. Yndi’s personality is so cool. She's somebody who gets the hype going and makes you feel very welcome, she’s always very giggly which is fun to be around. It was nice to finally get to properly hang and skate with both of them.
“Yndi gets the hype going and makes you feel very welcome.”

Yndiara Asp, Stalefish at Pedro's backyard bowl.
What’s a funny story from the trip?
A funny moment on the trip that made me giggle was when Viktor was sat in CJ's chair on the mini bus and CJ got in the bus and told Viktor to move out of his chair and then Viktor had to move to the back of the bus with all the girls. It was all done in fun though, banter was real, we had loads of jokey moments like that!
Tell us about a trick you battled for in Pedro’s bowl.
One trick I had a little battle with in Pedro’s bowl would have been the gap to rock n roll slide, not sure what was happening there, I was scared but managed to get it in the end, felt good!
Tell the people reading this now why they should drop everything and go and watch the Red Bull Transition Trip video!
If you’re reading this right now, stop and go watch the new Red Bull video, it’s going to be sick! If you love skateboarding you’ll definitely wanna check this video out!
